I watched the program and thought it was very good and positive, especially from Kate and Ian. What occurred to me when Shailina and Mick were on together was that it must be in both their interests to co-operate in getting people trained to overcome the skills shortage. Surely the buyers, suppliers and local councils or enterprise boards could between them fund the necessary college places or apprentiships to overcome the lack of trained staff.
